WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The University of Washington men’s tennis team was well represented on the Pac-12 All-Academic Teams as they led the league with three First Team selections and four being recognized overall.
Earning first team honors were Husky juniors Emmett Egger and Viktor Farkas along with senior Max Manthou who all received the first team academic recognition for the second-straight year. Farkas led the way with a 3.88 grade-point average (Computer Science) followed by Manthou who posted a 3.75 in History and Sociology while also minoring in Math. Egger boasts a 3.69 in political science.
In addition to the three first team honorees, redshirt freshman Wendell Watanabe was named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point and be a significant contributor.
