SEATTLE – The University of Washington men’s tennis team continues its eight-match homestand as they host in-state foe Gonzaga on Friday, March 14 at 3 p.m. at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Dawgs are 7-7 on the season and have just one non-conference matche left before Pac-12 play starts.
The Huskies are coming off of a 5-2 loss to No. 45 Virginia Tech on Wednesday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Two Huskies picked up singles victories in the loss as Max Manthou won on court two, 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 and Viktor Farkas picked up his second-straight win at the five spot with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 decision.
The Bulldogs are 8-4 on the year and will be playing their first match since March 2, a 7-0 loss to No. 42 Santa Clara. Gonzaga has picked up wins over Seattle and Whitworth and will be starting a three-game road trip in Seattle as they next head to Portland to face the Pilots and Portland State. GU is led by Nick Kamisar, Vladimir Mijatovic and Jack Schoebel.
