SEATTLE -- In addition to advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Washington men's tennis was honored for their work in the classroom. The Husky men earned ITA All-Academic Team status, while also having four individuals named ITA Academic All-Americans.

The Dawgs were one of 86 Division I teams to earn the All-Academic status. Washington carries a team GPA of 3.39, including 3.36 during the spring quarter.

Individually, Emmett Egger, Viktor Farkas, Max Manthou and Kyle McMorrow earned Academic All-American status. Manthou was a spring  Dean's List student that carries a 3.71 GPA, while majoring in mathematics. Farkas has the top GPA on the team with a 3.87, while majoring in computer science. Egger carries a 3.67 GPA, while majoring in political science, while McMorrow graduated with a degree in communication with a 3.37 GPA.

The Dawgs lose McMorrow and Marton Bots to graduation, but should have another strong team in 2013-14. As always, head coach Matt Anger's squad will continue to get it done in the classroom as well.
