Six Dawgs Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Wash. -- Washington men's tennis was well represented on the Pac-12 All-Academic Team with three Huskies earning first team honors and six being recognized overall.

Earning first team honors were Husky sophomores Emmett Egger and Viktor Farkas, along with junior Max Manthou. The trio was joined by five others from the conference to form the eight-person team. Each of the Husky first teamers was instrumental members of the Washington squad that reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to their play on the court, the Dawgs excelled in the classroom with Farkas leading the way with a 3.87 grade-point average. Manthou (3.69) while studying history and Egger (3.65) while studying political science also were amongst the best in the Pac-12.

In addition to the first team honorees, Nicholas Kamisar was named the Pac-12 All-Academic second team. Kamisar carries a 3.62 GPA, while majoring in business administration.

Finally, seniors Marton Bots and Kyle McMorrow were honored as Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
