JOHN'S CREEK, Ga. -- Husky senior Cheng-Tsung Pan continued his excellent play at the U.S. Amateur, finishing stroke play at 5-under 138. He tied for third overall to easily advance to the 64-player match play competition.

Pan entered Tuesday tied for seventh, but moved up after 2-under 70. He made five birdies and just three bogeys on his way to qualifying for match play as the No. 3 seed. He will face Zach Healy in the first round of match play on Wednesday 10:50 a.m., PT.

Pan finished just three strokes off the stroke play medalist honors that were shared by Lee McCoy and Taylor Moore.
