FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Play continued at the 48th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship from Pine Canyon with Corey Pereira leading the Dawgs as he charged up the leaderboard. Pereira shot an 8-under 62 to lead seven Huskies in the tournament.
A day after a round of even par, Pereira caught fire with his 62 to move up into a tie for third place at 8-under for the tournament. He is two shots off the lead, currently held by Lorens Chan. Pereira made seven birdies and an eagle with just one bogey that cost him a chance at the course record.

Incoming freshman, Frank Garber is the next Husky on the leaderboard at 2-over for the week. He shot a round of 1-over 71 for the second-straight day.
