Huskies Earn Eight Academic All-Pac-12 Honors

SEATTLE – The Huskies had eight players named to the All-Pac-12 academic teams, as announced by the conference Friday morning. The Huskies have had at least eight conference academic honorees in each of the past three seasons.

Seniors Hooch Fagaly and Bryana Walker earned 1st Team All-Pac-12 Academic honors. Fagaly carries a 3.40 grade point average with majors in Medical Anthropology and American Ethnic Studies, while Walker has a 3.61 GPA with a major in Psychology.

Senior Whitney Jones was selected to the 2nd Team All-Pac-12 Academic Team. Jones has earned a 3.35 GPA with a degree in Sociology.

The Huskies had five players earn Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 Academic honors. Seniors Victoria Hayward and Kaitlin Inglesby, juniors Kylee Lahners and Kelli Suguro, and sophomore Dani Braun were all named to the Honorable Mention team.

This is the third conference academic honors each for Fagaly, Hayward, Inglesby, and Walker, while it is the second such honor each for Jones, Lahners, and Suguro. For Braun, it is her first such academic honor.

In order to be eligible for the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be a significant contributor on the field.
