SEATTLE – For the 10th time in program history and the first since 2009, the Huskies have swept the Pac-12 Player of the Week awards, as announced by the conference Monday morning. Senior Kaitlin Inglesby has been named Pitcher of the Week and junior Kylee Lahners has been named Player of the Week by the conference.

“I’m proud of our team for battling over the past few weeks,” head coach Heather Tarr said. “Both Kaitlin and Kylee had great weekends. Our plan is to move forward and be at our best as we finish the season.”

Inglesby went 2-0 in three appearances with two complete-games this past weekend as the Huskies earned a series win at Stanford. In the Huskies 7-0 win on Thursday, Inglesby turned in her 17th career complete-game shutout and her 2nd of the season.

For Inglesby, this is the fourth time she has been honored with the conference’s weekly award and the third time as a pitcher. Inglesby was last recognized on Mar. 19, 2012 as the Player of the Week.

Lahners batted .500 (5x10), with one double, two home runs, and four RBI over the weekend. With a pair of home runs in the Huskies 11-2 victory Saturday, Lahners set a new single-season career high for home runs with 12 and simultaneously recorded her first multi-home run game.

This is the second time this season Lahners has been named player of the week. The native of Laguna Hills, Calif. was also honored on Feb. 18 after hitting .643 with two doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI at the Littlewood Classic.

The Huskies now have 88 honorees in the conference weekly awards all-time.

After more than three weeks since their last home game, the Huskies will return to Husky Softball Stadium for a three-game series vs. Arizona State, beginning Thursday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m.
