SEATTLE -- The Washington women's soccer season is underway. While the team is led by a deep and talented senior class, the Dawgs have also added a group of talented freshmen. GoHuskies.com got a chance to speak to each of the new Huskies. First up, Becca Schoales.
Why did you come to Washington?
Schoales: "The coaches and staff were amazing and the campus is beautiful."
What do you hope to contribute this season and in your career as a Husky?
Schoales: "This year I want to contribute depth to our team. I'd also like to have lots or goals and assists."
What is the greatest moment of your playing career so far?
Schoales: "I really enjoyed playing in Costa Rica with all of the differest styles they have there."
What is your first memory of playing soccer?
Schoales: "I played for the Wildcats and my dad was the coach. He moved me to goalie because we were so far ahead and I dribbled through everyone to score again."
What do you do for fun?
Schoales: "I like to snowboard, travel and hang out with my friends."
Who is the most inspirational person in your life and why?
Schoales: "My brother Kyle. He has done so much for me and everyone around him."
What is your favorite meal: Crab legs.
What is your favorite movie: Pitch Perfect or 42.
What is favorite type of music: Country.
If you didn't play soccer, what sport would you play: Volleyball.
What is the best book you have ever read: The Hunger Games.
