Rich Rasmussen
Position: Director of Player Personnel

Tacoma native Rich Rasmussen joined Coach Chris Petersen's staff as director of recruiting in December of 2013. Following the 2014 season his roll changed to chief administrative officer for the football program, overseeing all daily operations and works directly with the compliance and student-athlete academic services staffs.

Rasmussen served as director of player personnel on Petersen's staff at Boise State for the two seasons prior to coming to Seattle. In his role, he organizes all on-campus recruiting, oversees official and unofficial visits for prospects and a variety of other responsibilities with the program.

Before going to Boise State, Rasmussen was tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Washington State for four seasons. Prior to that, Rasmussen spent the previous 12 seasons at Eastern Washington University where he served various roles during his tenure including director of football operations, recruiting coordinator, team travel coordinator and summer camp coordinator, in addition to coaching tight ends. Rasmussen began his coaching career at Mt. Tahoma High School and Bellarmine Prep.

A graduate of Lincoln High in Tacoma, Rasmussen attended Tacoma Community College before moving on to EWU. He earned both a bachelor's degree (physical education, 1998) and master's degree (athletic administration, 2000) from EWU.

Rasmussen and his wife, Teri, are parents of two sons, Josh and Jacob.
