Rich Rasmussen
Position: Director of Player Personnel
Experience: 1st Year
Tacoma native Rich Rasmussen joined Coach Chris Petersen's staff as Director of Recruiting in December of 2013.

Rasmussen served as director of player personnel on Petersen's staff at Boise State for the two seasons prior to coming to Seattle. In his role, he organizes all on-campus recruiting, oversees official and unofficial visits for prospects and a variety of other responsibilities with the program.

Before going to Boise State, Rasmussen was tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Washington State for four seasons, having spent the 12 seasons prior to that on the football staff as tight ends coach at his alma mater, Eastern Washington.A graduate of Lincoln High in Tacoma, Rasmussen attended Tacoma Community College before moving on to EWU.

He earned both a bachelor's degree (physical education, 1998) and master's degree (athletic administration, 2000) from Eastern Washington.

After graduating from Eastern, he worked at Bellarmine Prep and Mt. Tahoma High Schools and then joined the coaching staff at EWU, where he served as director of football operations, recruiting coordinator, team travel coordinator and summer camp coordinator at various times, in addition to coaching tight ends.

Rasmussen and his wife, Teri, are parents of two sons, Josh and Jacob.
