Husky senior Keith Price has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2013 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award.
Price, a third-year starter from Compton, Calif., is one of 34 QBs on the list, which includes five Pac-12 players.
The Dawgs' signalcaller enters his senior season with 5,953 career passing yards, the fourth-highest total in school history. Price has 54 career touchdown passes, just one shy of the school record (55, Cody Pickett). His 524 completions rank third and his 831 attempts are fourth.
The award, presented by the Davey O'Brien Foundation will be presented on Dec. 12. A list of 16 semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 4 and three finalists will be named on Nov. 25.
The Huskies open the 2013 football season Aug. 31 when Boise State comes to newly-renovated Husky Stadium.
