KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Washington defender Taylor Peay keeps racking up the awards after last week's big performance. Tuesday, he was named the NSCAA National Player of the Week.
Peay recorded eight points on four goals in the Huskies two games this past weekend. He had a hat trick in the 4-1 win against Santa Clara, and then followed up with another goal in a 4-1 win against Portland. He is also a member of a Washington defense that has held opponents to just two goals.
Peay was earlier named Pac-12 Player of the Week and was also named to multiple National Team's of the Week by various media outlets.
A defender, Peay had just two career goals before his huge week.
He'll lead the 10th-ranked Huskies into their game tonight against No. 3 Connecticut. The Dawgs are looking to avenge last season's overtime loss to the other Huskies.
