DUPONT, Wash. -- Washington continued to play well at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship from the Home Course in DuPont. Each of SooBin Kim, Eimi Koga and Jennifer Yang advanced through the first round of match play.

Kim quickly dispatcheed of her opponent, Marriane Li from Bellevue. The Husky All-American won the match 5 & 4 as the No. 2 seed after finishing tied for second in the stroke play portion of the event. Kim will face No. 34 seed Dana Finkelstein, who will be a senior at UNLV on Thursday in the round of 32.

Koga also advanced with a 3 & 1 victory over Alex Milan who was an All-ACC player at Florida State this past spring. The 16h-seeded Koga advances to play 17th-seeded Monica Vaughn, who is another Pac-12 player coming off her freshman season at Arizona State.

Finally, Yang dominated her match, defeating Lyndsey McCurdy of SMU 5 & 4. Yang also advances to the Round of 32 on Thursday where she will face the 10th-seeded Kaci Masuda a junior golfer from Honolulu.

Thursday's match play will include two rounds meaning if each Husky wins their Round of 32 match, they will play again in the afternoon in the Round of 16.
