Tempe, Ariz. -- No. 11 Washington heads back to the course this weekend to compete against another elite field at the PING/ASU Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Friday, April 4 and concludes Sunday, April 6.

No. 6 Arizona State hosts the tournament at the ASU Karesten Golf Course that includes 10 top-25 teams. Along with the Dawgs and Sun Devils, the field includes No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Duke, No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Arizona, No. 10 Stanford, No. 12 Vanderbilt and No. 21 Oregon. The other teams competing are California, Oregon State, Texas, UC Davis and Washington State.

This is the 42nd playing of the PING/ASU Invitational with the host school havining the most victories with 19. Last year, Alabama set the all-time record for low team score at 19-under 845. Anna Nordqvist of Arizona State set the all-time individual mark of 10-under 206 back in 2007.

This week, the Dawgs will bring a lineup of Kelli Bowers, Charlotte Thomas, Ying Luo, SooBin Kim and Jennifer Yang. Yang has been the Dawgs top player so far this spring, coming off a third-place finish at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic.

Last season, the Dawgs placed 11th at the PING/ASU Classic led by a 27th-place performance by Kim. Each of Thomas, Luo and Yang also competed last season so the Dawgs should be well versed on the Karsten Golf Course.

This is the second to last tournament of the spring before the championship season begins with the Pac-12 Championships on April 25. The Dawgs also play at the Silverado Invitational in Napa, Calif., on April 14 and 15 as preperation.
