Live Scoring and Pairings

TARZANA, Calif. – No. 9 Washington will compete in the Bruin Wave Invitational this week hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine. The Dawgs will play 36 holes on Monday, March 3, before an 18-hole final round on Tuesday, March 4 to decide the tournament at El Caballero Country Club.

Washington will face another elite field that included familiar foes, No. 1 USC and No. 2 UCLA. Also competing form the top-25 are No. 11 Arizona, No. 12 Oklahoma State and No. 17 Pepperdine. The rest of the field consists of BYU, California, Cal-State Northridge, Colorado, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Oregon State, San Diego State, UNC Wilmington, UNLV and Washington State.

The Dawgs are coming off a subpar tournament last week in New Orleans and look to get back on track this week. Washington will go with another different lineup as head coach Mary Lou Mulflur continues to tinker with her deep team to find the right five.

This week, the Huskies will go with Jennifer Yang, Eimi Koga, Charlotte Thomas, Ying Luo and Cyd Okino. Yang was the Dawgs top finisher last week at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, while Koga is in just her second tournament as part of the Husky lineup. Okino joins the group after not playing last week, but has plenty of tournament experience.

This is the fifth time the Bruin Wave has been contested and third time at El Caballero Country Club. Washington is making its first appearance in the tournament since the inaugural playing back in 2010 when Robinson Ranch Golf Club was the host. The Dawgs finished seventh that year, although Molly Aronsson did open with a 5-under 67 that is still tied for the best round in tournament history.

This year, Washington will play with USC and Cal-State Northridge, teeing off at 8 a.m. on 14, 15 and 16 as part of the shotgun start. After Monday’s 36 holes, the teams will be repaired based on placing for the final round. Live stats throughout the tournament are available on
