Conor Bullis was named to Coach Bob Ernst staff in July of 2011. Bullis was chosen by Ernst for his energy and commitment to excellence, along with his attention to detail. "He's proven over his career as a coach and as an administrator that he's a forward-thinker and a great organizer," Ernst said.

He is in the middle of his second year with Washington Women's Rowing after the team finished 7th at the NCAA Championships last season.

Coach Bullis is a native of Seattle, attending Garfield High School with many other superstar Huskies. A four year letter winner from Oregon State University and Captain in his Senior year, Bullis returned to Seattle and started coaching on the UW Men's Rowing team under Michael Callahan and former freshman coach Luke McGee. Bullis coached with the Men's side for 2 years before taking a job as the Head Boys Coach for the Lakeside School.

At Lakeside, Bullis grew the program from 8 boys to 42, worked to rebuild the entire boathouse and coached an open 4+ and lightweight 4+ to a 4th and 2nd place respectively at the Youth National Championship. In the summers of 2010-11 Bullis, coached the Seattle Area Rowing Association Boys Racing Camp taking his top 8+ to the USRowing Club National Championships and winning the Junior 8+ two summers in a row.

In the summer of 2012, Ernst hired Coach Bullis to take over the 1st Assistant/Novice Coach position. In his first season he took the UW Novice 8 to a 3rd place finish at the San Diego Crew Classic and a 4th place finish at the Pac-12 Championships.

During the summer of 2012 Bullis coached the USRowing National Team "Freshmen" Camp and is schedule to coach the camp again for the summer of 2013.

Coach Bullis enjoys woodworking, running, cycling, hiking in the summer, flying small planes and was the star of a BECU Bank Commercial in 2008, see if you can find it on YouTube!
