PHOENIX - Former Husky star Jake Lamb realized his lifelong dream Thursday night when he made his Major League debut against the Kansas City Royals. Lamb, who lettered 2010-12 at Washington, was 1-for-4 after getting the start at third base.

Lamb popped out in his first at bat before collecting an RBI single in the third inning. The hit proved to be the last one of the night for the D-Backs as the Royals took home a 6-2 win.

"Jam shot over third base, that's how I dreamed it," Lamb told the media following the game.

Lamb is one of three former Huskies currently in the Major Leagues. Tim Lincecum (San Francisco) and Matt Hagadone (Cleveland) are also in the big leagues.
