SEATTLE -- The Washington women's golf team had three players honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association with the announcement of the All-Americans. SooBin Kim earned second team honors, while Charlotte Thomas and Jennifer Yang were named honorable mention.
Kim was named to the second team after finishing tied for 20th at the NCAA Championships. During the season, the Husky junior had seven top-10 finishes, including a win at the Silverado Invitational and runner-up finishes at the Topy Cup and the NCAA West Regional.
Thomas and Yang earned honorable mention honors after finishing tied for 35th and tied for 52nd, respectively, at the NCAA Championships. Thomas opened the season with a win at the Topy Cup, while Yang had six top-10's for the Dawgs.
Kim is earning Second Team All-America honors for the second-straight season. Before Kim, a Husky had not been named to the All-America teams since Paige Mackenzie earned First Team honors in 2006.
Kim becomes one of just four Huskies to earn WGCA All-America honors more than once. The others to accomplish this feat are Mackenzie (2004, '05 and '06), Kelli Kanimura (1999, '01) and Dodie Mazzuca (1996, '97).
