SEATTLE – After moving up three spots in both national polls this week to No. 8, the Huskies will wrap up the 2014 regular with a three-game series against the California Bears in Berkley, California.

The Pac-12 series between the Huskies (30-13, 10-9 Pac-12) and the Bears (23-26, 4-15) begins Thursday at 3:00 p.m., followed by Friday’s matchup at 3:30 p.m. The series concludes Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

All three games will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks, with Krista Blunk and Teri Goldberg on the call.

The Huskies trail Cal in the all-time series, 41-35, but took two out of three games from the Bears last season in Seattle.

In last season’s matchups with the Bears, the Huskies took game one, 7-4, as Kaitlin Inglesby drove in three runs at the plate and earned the victory in the circle. Then-senior Shawna Wright hit a walk-off home run in game two, as the Huskies knocked off the Bears, 9-8, in nine innings.

Last weekend, the Huskies took two out of three games from No. 9. Arizona. On Friday, Hooch Fagaly powered the Huskies to an 11-7 walk-off win, clubbing a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 7th. After hitting .667 on the weekend with one home run and four RBI, Fagaly was named Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday.

Though Saturday’s game was rained out, the Huskies honored 2009 National Champion and two-time Honda Award winner Danielle Lawrie by retiring her jersey – the first in Husky Softball history.

The Huskies took game one of a Sunday doubleheader from the Wildcats, 8-0, in five innings. Bryana Walker limited Arizona to just one run over five innings, while Kylee Lahners hit her team-leading 15th home run and drove in three runs.
