SEATTLE – Hooch Fagaly was named Pac-12 Player of the Week by the conference Monday morning after batting .667 with one home run and four RBI this past weekend, as the Huskies took two out of three games from Arizona.

Fagaly hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 7th inning on Friday, powering the Huskies to an 11-7 win over the Wildcats. It was her second walk-off home run in two weeks. Fagaly also hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning, as the Huskies defeated Arizona State, 3-2, on April 18.

“This is a fantastic honor for a great player,” head coach Heather Tarr said. “Hooch and the team had a great weekend. You earn these types of awards because of great individual achievements, but we also know that winning the series against a great Arizona team is the main reason Hooch was recognized.”

Hooch reached base safely in all five plate appearances Friday, driving two base hits and earning three walks. She also scored three runs and drove in four on her decisive grand slam.

In game one of a doubleheader on Sunday, Fagaly lined a triple into the right-field corner for her second career three-base hit (also: April 6, 2013 vs. Oregon State).

Over her past 20 games since March 14, Fagaly has hit safely in 17 games at a .453 clip with three home runs and 13 RBI. Fagaly is currently on a career-high nine-game hitting streak.

This is the first weekly conference award for Fagaly. This is the third weekly conference award for the Huskies this season, as Fagaly joins Kaitlin Inglesby and two-time recipient Kylee Lahners.

The Huskies (30-13, 10-9 Pac-12) will wrap up the regular season with a three-game series at Cal (23-26, 4-15 Pac-12), starting Thursday.
