SEATTLE -- The Husky women will continue its season this week after being selected to play in the WNIT and host a first round game. The Dawgs (17-13) will host Hawai'i (17-13) on Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m.

Washington will be playing in the WNIT for a third-straight season, having advanced to the quarterfinals in 2012 and the second round last season. Overall, the Dawgs are making their sixth appearance in the WNIT. The Huskies are 8-5 in the five tournaments they have played so far. Washington debuted in the WNIT in 1999, while also appearing in 2002, 2004, 2012 and last season. The Dawgs are 5-0 in the first round of the tournament.

This season, the Dawgs finished 17-13, including 10-8 in the Pac-12 season, but fell to Utah in the first round of the conference tournament. Despite wins over three ranked teams, including then-No. 2 Stanford, Washington was not selected to the NCAA Tournament.

Hawai'i finished 10-6 in the Big West Conference and advanced to the second round of the conference tournament. They Rainbow Wahine played four Pac-12 schools this season, defeating Washington State and falling to Oregon State, USC and Arizona State. They are led by Kamilah Jackson who averages 14.8 points and 9.3 rebounds.
