SEATTLE – University of Washington senior standout C.J. Wilcox and freshman Nigel Williams-Goss picked up Pac-12 Conference regular season honors as voted on by the league’s coaches, commissioner Larry Scott announced on Monday. Wilcox was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team for the second-straight year and Williams-Goss was one of five newcomers named to the All-Pac-12 Freshman Team.

Wilcox, who was second-team in 2013, honorable mention in 2012 and a member of the 2011 All-Freshman team, led the Huskies in scoring, minutes played and 3-pointers made. During the season he set the UW career record for 3-point FGs and is currently at 299, which ranks sixth in Pac-12 history. Additionally he moved into second all-time at UW in scoring with 1,866 career points.

Wilcox is also one of just three players in Pac-12 history to post 1,800 points, 275 made 3FGs and 400 career rebounds.  His 18.5 points per game ranked fourth in the Pac-12 and he led the league in 3-point FGs made with 2.8 per game (88 total). Additionally, he was second in FT percentage (86.8) and fourth in minutes played (34.9).

Williams-Goss becomes the 10th freshman under head coach Lorenzo Romar to earn All-Freshman team honors. The newcomer out of Findlay Prep High School led the league’s freshmen in scoring with his 13.3 points per game and was the top frosh in assists (4.4) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6). Williams-Goss set the UW single-season assists record with 140 and led the league with 14 double-digit scoring efforts during conference play.

The ninth-seeded Huskies head to Las Vegas to face eighth-seeded Utah on Wednesday, March 12 at Noon at the MGM Grand.
