Shelton, a junior defensive lineman from Auburn, Wash., earned a spot on the first team for the second year in a row. He boasts a 3.46 grade point average as an anthropology major. He has started all 11 games and has 48 tackles this season.
Kikaha, a junior defensive end from Laie, Hawai'i, currently has a 3.49 GPA in American ethnic studies. Also an 11-game starter, Kikaha has 50 tackles and leads the team with eight sacks.
Sankey, a junior from Spokane, was yesterday named one of three finalists for the Doak Walker Award, given annually to the nation's top running back. Along with his 1,575 rushing yards and 17 rushing TDs this year (both second-most in school history), he has compiled a 3.18 GPA as a communications major.
The five Dawgs to earn honorable mention were junior wide receiver DiAndre Campbell, junior defensive end Josh Shirley, junior linebacker John Timu, sophomore center Siosifa Tufunga and redshirt-freshman fullback Psalm Wooching.
