Football Operations Center

Built: 2013

The new equipment room is considered a new model in sensibility, technology and convenience. Large, mechanical-glide shelving units house uniforms and accessories for the entire team and can be opened with the touch of a button.

The new 101 Club Husky Weight Room, steps away from the team’s new locker room, is 1,300 square feet larger than the team’s previous weight room. It includes a base-twist machine for hip explosiveness and a triple-extension machine for leg driving along with the traditional bench presses and squat racks as well as, pure-wood lifting platforms laid flush into the floor.

The Barnard Family Locker Room is about three times larger than the team’s old one. The new room has huge, open-facing lockers for each player in sections that branch off from an open center with a W sewn into the carpeted floor.

The tradition and legacies of 120-plus years of Husky football define the new team meeting rooms. Down the hall from the larger team meeting room are the smaller, position meeting rooms. These rooms are linked electronically by XOS, a leader in football coaching technology. XOS provides the Huskies with wireless coaching software inside the football operations center.

In the lobby, recruits are met by the 1991 national-championship trophy and 10 screens to display videos of great moments in Husky football. It has two mannequins displaying UW’s uniforms. The upstairs lounge includes not only a fireplace but prime views of Husky Stadium, Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains.
