PORTLAND, Ore. -- SooBin Kim tied for 30th at the LPGA Safeway Classic to finish as the top amateur in the professional tournament. The UW junior shot 2-under 70 in Sunday's final round and ended up with a four-round total of 8-under 280 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore.

She was not the only golfer with Husky ties to finish strong at the tournament. Husky grad Paige Mackenzie tied for 23rd after finishing 10-under 278. She shot a final round 69.

Mackenzie pocketed $12,717 for her efforts. Kim, meanwhile, will join her Husky teammates this week in Japan for the Topy Cup.
