Conibear Shellhouse

Built: 1994 | Renovation: 2005
The Conibear Shellhouse is located on the shores of Lake Washington and has served as the primary home for Husky Crew since its construction in 1949.
A complete renovation in 2005 increased space by 75 per cent to 47,250 square feet and created a unique, multi-purpose facility at the heart of the university's athletic campus.
In addition to updating team training areas, offices and a new, additional shell storage bay, the facility houses the Ackerley Academic Center, Windermere Dining Hall and Husky Crew.
The Conibear Shellhouse can be described as the heartbeat of athletic life as it serves as a hub for all of our Husky student-athletes.
Both the men's and women's crew locker rooms are housed in Conibear Shellhouse, just steps from the water.
The facility is also home the the Husky Crew coaches offices, and has room to display the rich and growing tradition of UW rowing.
