Internship Program


 

Washington's Athletic Internship Program explores many facets of sports administration, coaching and operations. UW Student Interns will gain a strong understanding of possibilities, challenges and rewards facing administrators in Division 1 Athletics today. Below is a list of UW Athletic Internship Opportunities for Students who are actively engaged in fulfilling their graduation requirements. Although our internships are intended for Graduate Students, Undergrads and Non-Student Status (VOLUNTEER) are welcome to apply.  To learn more about a specific internship or to apply click on the CONTACT NAME listed:

TICKET SALES
Receive comprehensive training in ticket sales best practices and revenue generation. Will assist in maximizing attendance and revenue by selling various ticket products, with an emphasis on Football Season Tickets, Mini Plans and Groups. This position will focus on completing the entire sales process, from initial outbound cold call to closing the sale.

NEW MEDIA/RECRUITING
Web content, creation, research and development. Outreach and conversation with fans.

GROUNDS/FACILITIES
Work alongside the UW Athletic Grounds Crew in any and all upkeep and appearance of outdoor areas. The work is labor-intensive.  Perform other duties as assigned (indoors/outdoors).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL OPERATIONS
Assists Director of Operations, Coaches and Staff with day to day assignments, create innovative recruiting mailers, equipment inventory, meal coordination, practice and day of game set up, locker room organization and break down. Ability to represent Washington Athletics at special events. Perform other duties as assigned. NOTE: This internship is limited to UW IAL Students only.
