Washington's Athletic Internship Program explores many facets of sports administration, coaching and operations. UW Student Interns will gain a strong understanding of possibilities, challenges and rewards facing administrators in Division 1 Athletics today. Below is a list of UW Athletic Internship Opportunities for Students who are actively engaged in fulfilling their graduation requirements. Although our internships are intended for Graduate Students, Undergrads and Non-Student Status (VOLUNTEER) are welcome to apply. Auditing, report generation, data entry, research, and filing. Assist in creating educational resources, reporting of violations and waivers, and interpretation of NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.

Receive comprehensive training in ticket sales best practices and revenue generation. Will assist in maximizing attendance and revenue by selling various ticket products, with an emphasis on Football Season Tickets, Mini Plans and Groups. This position will focus on completing the entire sales process, from initial outbound cold call to closing the sale.

Assist with day to day operations of Sports Teams, events, creation of donor and alumni data base, assist in travel arrangements for team, assist in management of social media platforms, coordination of team functions, help assistant Director of Operations and Coaches with a variety of duties.

Work a long side UW Athletic Grounds Crew in any and all upkeep and appearance of outdoor areas. The work is labor-intensive. Perform other duties as assigned (indoors/outdoors).

Assist with scheduling of practices, games, meetings, special events and facility rentals. Create event and facility logistics, manage payroll database and schedule event staff for all ICA events. Act as event manager for a variety of athletic and non-athletic events.

Assists Director of Operations, Coaches and Staff with day to day assignments, create innovative recruiting mailers, equipment inventory, meal coordination, practice and day of game set up, locker room organization and break down. We are looking for a creative, assertive, and energetic individual willing to learn and bring ideas to our program. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent writing skills. Experience with Photoshop and social media platforms is a plus. The candidate will be given the opportunity to create and be in charge of running various events throughout the season. They will assist the Director of Operations with travel arrangements, as well as other duties. The candidate must work all home meets and will be in charge of running our birthday party program. There will be opportunities for gaining experience in other areas of operations, as the Director sees fit. Gymnastics knowledge of experience is a plus but not required or necessary.
