Husky Green Team
Make a Difference - Get Involved!
There are many opportunities for students to get involved with the UW Athletic Department's sustainability efforts. Volunteers are needed to manage the "Green Team" booth at sporting events in Alaska Airlines Arena, and Husky Stadium, collect data and distribute information to the UW fans.
Volunteers receive free admission to games and help market the department's green initiatives before the game and during intermissions. For undergrads looking to get experience with marketing and customer service, this is a great opportunity!
Students interested in getting involved and gaining valuable experience at UW events can apply for one of the Athletic Department's Sustainability Internships.

WASHINGTON STUDENT ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (WSSAC)
The WSAAC Dawg Bowl is an ongoing yearly competition between the different UW sports teams. Starting in February 2012, WSAAC has included sustainability initiatives to their Dawg Bowl Criteria. Teams are awarded points based on accomplishments in areas such as athletic achievement, academic achievement, community service and life skills programming. The student-athletes can now be awarded points for team sustainability programs, social media sustainability efforts and team recycling.
We welcome ideas to improve the sustainability efforts within the UW athletic department and at events. If you have ideas/comments/suggestions, please email them to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
