Where does UW's Apple Cup victory rank among the top moments in 2006?
With 2006 coming to a close, we invite Husky fans everywhere to share their favorite University of Washington sports moment of the past 12 months. There are some obvious choices, such as the brilliant performances of baseball All-America Tim Lincecum, the football Apple Cup win over Washington State or volleyball's demolishing of Penn State in the NCAA regional finals.

Simply fill out the fields below and share your top Husky moment for 2006 and check back often to relive the year!

Robert (Yakima): Hands down, the best moment of 2006 was the win over UCLA. Dan Howell's interception for a TD to seal the win was magical!

Scott: That HUGE Apple Cup win! After Isiah got hurt and we had lost 5 straight to finish with the monster win was the BEST!!

Nic: Have to agree, that UCLA game was something else.

volleyballer (Everett): Clearly the best moment of 2006 was when Courtney Thompson set the Pac-10 career assists record on SENIOR NIGHT. yet even better, she does it all for her teammates!! Go Huskies!

Lawrence (Seattle): Watching the UW Women's Volleyball team defeat Penn State at Hec Ed to reach the Final Four was very exciting. That was my favorite Husky moment of 2006! GO DAWGS!

Roland (Yerba Buena, CA): I thought the men's basketball team's NCAA tournament run to the sweet 16 last year was pretty awesome! Brandon Roy would probably be the most memorable player of 2006!

blake: Ryan Brown and Amy Lia winning National Championship titles within an hour of one another in the NCAA 800m and 1500m

Aaron (Kennewick): Football games vs UCLA & WSU, I was in the stands for both, they were outstanding

MarkyMark (Honolulu): The most important sport's, most important win...Apple Cup. No doubt.

Earl of Benton City: Apple Cup...Duh? No brainer state bragging rights...take care of your backyard first!

Ty (Arlington, WA): The Apple Cup... THIS IS OUR STATE!

Frank (Arlington): This might not be something most people would write, but I really got pretty excited when they announced the plans to renovate for Husky Stadium. That will be so cool!

Billy (Mill Creek): Watching Tim Lincecum and Nick Hagadone no-hit Santa Clara back in March. Santa Clara had scored a bunch of runs the previous two days. And Lincecum's game vs. Arizona. that was electric!

Danny (Seattle): How could anyone not pick volleyball? They are unquestionably UW's most sucessful (and fan-friendly) team. And though they didn't repeat in '06, they overachieved after losing four starters from the '05 Championship team. Way to go!!!

Bob Fuhrmann (Sun City, Calif): UCLA AND APPLE CUP WINS

derek (seattle): apple cup was good but football was dissapointing so im gunna say brandon roy and the sweet sixteen run or tim lincecum drafted 10th

kathleen (puyallup): UW volleyball's sweep over Stanford and Cal in the beginning of Pac-10 play. those girls are amazing.

Paul (seattle): Without question, watching Ryan Brown (m 800) and Amy Lia (w 1500) win the NCAA championships in Sacramento!

Moose (Seattle): Jill Bell's heroics during the Feb. 06 win over the Ducks. Most impressive display of WBB!!

seattle: WINNING 5 GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(seattle): Ryan Brown and Amy Lia becoming national champions, and the Men's XC team taking 12th place at NCAA's!

Josh (Seattle): Wood's out of NOWHERE catch against Cal to force overtime! The announcement of the renovation of Husky Stadium (I almost cried tears of joy!!!!)
