Husky Rowing Experience

1999 (Freshman): Rowed in the six seat in the freshman eight ... finished fourth in IRA grand final ... second at Pac-10 Championships ... captured San Diego Crew Classic title ... also won Windermere Cup race.

Personal: Son of Michele Sudduth and John Deakin ... mother is a writer and father is a civil servant.

I chose Washington because: The quality of the rowing program.
The best thing about Seattle is: The summer.
The best thing about UW is: The rowing community.
My best race was: The San Diego Crew Classic in 1999. Nobody was worried about the result, we just all went for it and won.
After I graduate I plan to: Join Coast Guard helicopter search and rescue.
