Husky Rowing Experience1999 (Freshman): Rowed in the seven seat in the freshman eight that finished fourth in its grand final at the IRA Championships ... second at Pac-10 Championships ... captured San Diego Crew Classic title ... also won Windermere Cup race.
Personal: Son of Linda and R. James Farrar ... mother is a paralegal and father is a teacher ... has one older brother, Andrew.
I chose Washington because: They gave me the chance to live and row and go to school in a different part of the country.

My best race was: At UW, it was winning our race in San Diego. Before that, it was winning a silver medal at the '98 Junior Worlds.
