I chose Washington because: I wanted to live in Seattle and the campus is so pretty.

The best thing about Seattle is: When the sun shines.

The best thing about UW is: The friends I've made and the beautiful campus.

Favorite class: Communications

After I graduate, I plan to: Work for a snowboard company.

My best race was: Henley, 2000. We rowed our own race when it mattered the most.

If I could tell my incoming teammates one thing, it would be: Don't be afraid to try your hardest. Just go for it.

Whipple says: "Being a part of Washington Rowing makes me feel a part of a long tradition of being the best you can be."
