Husky Rowing Experience: 1997 (Freshman): Rowed the six seat in the freshman boat that posted the fastest times in its first heat and semi-final heat to advance to the grand final at the IRA Championships ... the UW freshmen won the Steward Cup, the first of UW's three victories at the IRAs, by the widest margin among Husky crews in the grand finals ... rowed six seat all season, and undefeated campaign which included victories on Opening Day, at the San Diego Crew Classic and at the Pac-10s ... 1998 (Sophomore): Rowed in the five seat of the varsity eight that finished second at the IRA Championships and second at the Pac-10s ... helped UW win a fourth straight Copley Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic ... also posted victories in the Windermere Cup and in the annual dual regattas with Cal and Wisconsin ... rowed at the World Championships in Cologne, Germany, as part of Canada's eight ... 1999 (Junior): Stroked the varsity eight in San Diego, where the crew finished second ... moved to six seat and won bronze at IRA Championships ... second at Pac-10s ... helped Huskies to ninth straight Windermere Cup title ... 2000 (Redshirt season): Competed in the Canadian men's eight at the 2000 Olympic Games ... boat won the "B" final in Sydney.
