2011-12 (Freshman): Joined the team at the start of winter quarter just before dual play began, and immediately started in the singles lineup ... posted a 10-12 record in dual singles matches, going 5-7 at No. 4 singles and 5-5 at No. 5 singles ... won his first three singles matches and six of his first eight ... came through with one of the biggest pressure wins of the year at Oregon, when he broke a 3-3 tie with a comeback 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 win over Daniel Sardu at No. 4 singles to clinch the Husky win ... also had big non-conference wins over Michael Zhu of Michigan, Mbonisi Ndamande of UC Santa Barbara, and Erik Cederwall of Pacific ... after a slow start to conference play, he closed out the year with three wins in his last four matches, getting his first Pac-12 win over Kieren Thompson of Arizona, then beating Aaron Clissold of Oregon in dual matches ... ended the year on a winning note, defeating Robbie Mudge of North Carolina State, 7-6 (2), 6-2, in the NCAA first round at No. 5 singles in the Husky win ... played just five doubles matches, going 3-3 overall, all in dual matches ... was 1-1 at No. 1 doubles with Kyle McMorrow, getting a win over Eastern Washington ... also teamed with Marton Bots, Jeff Hawke, and Matt Stith ... was named to the ITA All-Academic Team.
