Husky Rowing Summary1999 (Freshman): Coxswain for the NCAA Champion varsity four that won in her hometown of Sacramento ... coxed the novice eight to Pac-10 and San Diego Crew Classic titles ... also won at the Windermere Cup.
Personal: Daughter of Meg and Al Whipple ... father is a physical therapist ... has a twin sister, Sarah, who is a coxswain at UC-Davis ... two older brothers, Al and David ... hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding and backpacking.
I chose Washington because: I liked Seattle and the campus was very pretty.
