I chose Washington because: It had it all; academics and athletics and you can't beat the location.
The best thing about Seattle is: Its amazing surroundings; mountains on all sides, towering over miles of water and greenery.
The best thing about UW is: The campus. It's incredible!
Favorite class: Shakespeare.
My best race was: Windermere 2002, in the varsity four. It was a strong race from first to last stroke. We had rhythm, power and focus. We really pulled together as a boat and had a great race.
After I graduate, I plan to: Travel the world.
If I could tell my incoming teammates one thing, it would be: Take a deep breath, don't be afraid to go after it and always stick to it, because no matter what happens from day to day, good or bad, its worth it in the end. And don't forget to have fun and enjoy your time here because it flies by!
Krikava says: "Washington Rowing is the opportunity to prove to yourself and the rest of the world what you are made of."
