Ran with UW's top-seven in the postseason this fall, and will contribute at 3K and 5K on the track ... one of just three seniors in the UW distance corps.

2006 (Cross Country):Had best cross country season to date, running with UW's top-seven at both postseason races ... was the No. 4 UW finisher at Regionals, in 45th, and No. 6, in 33rd overall, at Pac-10s ... led the Huskies' "B" squad in eighth place overall at the Mike Hodges Invite ... was also the top "B" squad finisher, in 12th overall, at the Willamette Invite, and placed 56th at Sundodger ... shaved more than 30 seconds off her previous 6K cross country best with a 21:53 at Pac-10s.

2005-06: Ran just twice during the outdoor season, including once each at 3K and 5K ... did not run indoors ... ran in UW's top-seven at each of UW's first two cross country meets, and traveled with the team to Pre-Nationals and Pac-10s ... was UW's No. 7 finisher at the Sundodger and Willamette Invites, placing 26th and 37th, respectively ... was the 10th UW finisher at Pac-10s, in 67th overall ... also placed 22nd in the open race at Pre-Nationals.

2004-05: Did not compete during the fall ... ran 15th in the 5000m at the MPSF Indoor meet ... also ran the mile indoors, and the 3K and 5K outdoors ... shaved 38 seconds off her 5K best with a time of 18:13.30 at the Ken Shannon Invite.

2003-04: Competed at distances from one mile to 5000m ... scored top-five finishes in both of her outdoor 5K races in 2004 ... indoors, helped UW to a third-place finish at MPSFs with a seventh-place effort in the 5K in an indoor-best 18:12.38 ... also ran indoors in the mile and 3000m ... ran three times in the fall, including a fourth-place finish in the open race at Pac-10s ... made UW debut at Sundodger, placing 34th ... also competed at the Geoduck Invite. 2002-03: Redshirted both the cross country and track seasons.

High School and Personal: Parents are Tomoko and Takumi ... brother, Sho, plays football at UW ... has another brother, Riki ... took 37th at the state AAA cross country championships, and 17th at the AAA district meet, in 2001 ... was the 11th-place finisher in the 3200m at the state track meet in 2002, and placed fifth in the event at the district championships ... earned eight varsity letters, and served as captain of the track squad in 2002 ... was named Ballard's MVP for cross country as a junior and senior, and was the team's track MVP in 2001 ... an art major.
