Season Preview: Distances

GoHuskies.com takes a look at the Husky track prospects this week with the UW Indoor Preview coming up on Saturday.

2011-12 (At Montana): Competed four times during the cross country season, all in the Montana top-seven, capped by a 130th-place finish at the NCAA Mountain Regional ... on the track, competed four times outdoors, running 800m and 1500m ... best 800m time of 2:16.91 at Washington State's Cougar Invitational.

2010-11 (At Montana): During her first cross country season, helped the Grizzlies to the Big Sky Conference title, finishing 24th overall and sixth on the squad ... was 72nd overall, sixth on the team, at the NCAA Mountain Regional in a time of 22:26 for 6k ... on the track, ran the 800m leg on the school-record setting distance medley relay, which set the record at UW's Dempsey Indoor, clocking 11:36.27 at the Husky Classic ... DMR then went on to win the Big Sky Conference indoor title in 11:48.65 ... season-best 800m time of 2:15.09 also came at the Husky Classic in the Dempsey ... did not compete during the outdoor season.

High School and Personal: Born in Bellingham, Wash. ... parents are Suzette and Craig Moore ... the fifth of six children, with older sisters Mugs, Jeni, and Alli, older brother Will, and younger brother, Noah ... sister Alli Moore was a pole vaulter at Washington and competed at the Pac-10 Championships in 2006-08 ... cousin Lindsey Sharp also swam at UW ... uncle John Moore played basketball at BYU and aunt Beth Moore also played basketball at UCLA ... was a four-time top-10 finisher at the Washington 2A state cross country championships, leading Sehome to the team title every year from 2006-09 ... second at the 2007 state meet, and also finished third in 2006, fourth in 2009, and ninth in 2008 ... won Northwest Conference XC title in 2008, and the district title in 2006-08 ... won the 2A state title on the track at 800-meters as a senior and also anchored the state championship 4x400m relay team ... won the 2010 BorderDuel Track Classic in a 800m PR of 2:12.92 ... also took second in the 1,600m at the 2010 state finals, and had five more top-five individual finishes at state during track career.
