2002 (Cross-Country): A first-team Academic All-Pac-10 selection ... had an outstanding season on the road circuit, running in the team’s top seven at every varsity competition ... was the team’s third finisher at the NCAA Championships, in 22:07 ... took 17th overall at the Pac-10 Championships in a 6K best 21:23, sparking UW to a third-place team finish ... was the team’s third finisher at the Emerald City and Notre Dame Invitationals ... took third overall at the Emerald City meet, in 18:22 ... posted 5K career best the following week with a time of 17:51 in a 24th-place finish at the Sundodger Invitational ... was one of just three competitors to appear in all seven meets for UW in 2002.

2001-02: Redshirted the track and field seasons while studying abroad in New Zealand ... competed in four meets during the 2001 cross-country season, including the NCAA West Regionals and NCAA Championships ... was the Huskies’ No. 6 finisher at the NCAA meet, helping the squad to a 14th-place overall finish ... ran a 6000m best of 23:03 in a 41st-place finish at the NCAA West Regional meet ... was the team’s fifth finisher at the season-opening Emerald City Invitational, running 18:45 to place eighth overall ... at the Sundodger Invitational, shaved 30 seconds off of her 5000m PR to place 29th in 18:16.

2000-01: On the track oval, became Washington’s first women’s steeplechase competitor … set the school record in the event with a 10:58.84 at the Pac-10 Championships, a provisional qualifying mark that ranked her among the top 75 in the nation … finished ninth at the Pac-10s despite falling over a barrier in the middle of the race … best finishes of the year were first in steeple at the Ohio Quad meet and first in the 1500m at the Jesse Owens Invitational the next day … recorded best times of 4:44.74 for 1500m and 10:32.36 for 3000m ... ranked fourth on the team in the 1500m … indoors, ranked second on the team in the 5000m (18:42.74), third in the 3000m (10:34.91) and fourth in the mile (5:25.98) … was a member of the winning distance medley relay team at the Early Bird Open and also on the runner-up 4x800 team at the Jerry Martin Invitational ... competed in three cross-country races for UW including the NCAA Championships ... was 249th at the NCAAs, despite having never traveled with the team before that ... placed 16th at the Emerald City Invitational, with a personal-best 19:25 mark ... placed 45th at the Sundodger Invitational ... was an Honorable Mention Pac-10 All-Academic team selection.

1999-2000: Competed in the distance events, posting a career-best 18:42.50 in the 5000m at the Washington Quad Meet ... ran 2:31.18 for 800m at the Washington Outdoor Preview ... posted a top 1500m mark of 5:03.77 at the Preview ... top 3000m mark of 10:47.7h came at the Salzman Invitational ... focused solely on the mile during her first indoor season ... ran ninth overall at the Jerry Martin Invitational with a season-best mile time of 5:35.78 ... did not compete in any races during the cross country season.

High School and Personal: Born Mar. 3, 1981 in Pittsburgh ... parents are Jean and James ... oldest of three siblings, Jacob (17) and Carlos (5) ... lettered all four years at Albuquerque Academy ... was captain of the cross country and track team her senior season. .. earned first-team All-District honors in track as a sophomore ... went to the State Class 3A track meet in the 300m hurdles and 4x400 relay both her sophomore and senior seasons ... also earned a letter playing soccer.
