2001-02: Just a freshman, led all UW shot putters both indoors and out ... posted season-best outdoor mark of 51-4 1/2 in a victory at the season-ending Ken Foreman Invitational ... bookended his season with victories, having also captured the shot put at the season-opening Husky Classic ... in between, earned eight top-five finishes in 10 competitions ... competed three times in the discus, with a best of 132-1 at the Husky Classic ... also threw the hammer outdoors, going 136-7 in a fourth-place finish at the Oregon Dual ... indoors, acheived season-leading shot put mark of 51-2 1/4 at the UW Quad Classic ... was a top-10 finisher in all but two of 13 indoor competitions ... top individual placing indoors was second, first in the shot at the University Open, and duplicated in the weight throw at the Husky Scoring meet ... achieved top weight throw of the season at the UW Invitational in February, throwing 48-6 3/4, the second-best mark on the team in 2002.
