W. F. WEST HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters, playing for coach Tom Zuber ... classmate of fellow Husky baseball player Robert Pehl ... during his four seasons, Bearcats compiled a 91-9 overall record, won three league titles and a state championship (2010) ... also finished third in state two other times, his sophomore and senior years ... three-time first-team All-Evergreen Conference selection after earning second-team honors as a freshman ... also three-time first-team all-area and earned first-team all-state as a junior and senior ... second-team all-state as a sophomore ... also earned four letters in football and one in basketball ... two-time first-team all-league and all-area in football and also earned second-team all-state on the gridiron ... selected by the Angels in the 33rd round of the 2011 MLB draft ... graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.
