2002 (Sophomore) - After beginning the year as a top-three starter, lost his spot, then regained it in the last two-thirds of the Pac-10 season ... made 12 starts and one relief appearance ... capped off the season with an outstanding victory in the NCAA Houston Regional, earning a spot on the all-regional team ... allowed five hits and a run over seven and two-thirds in the Huskies' 3-1 elimination-game win over Texas Tech ... only threw one inning at USC and then missed a start at Oregon State due to a minor shoulder injury, but rebounded to start the season's final game against Arizona ... beat UCLA with a complete game ... allowed 11 hits, five runs (four earned) and one walk while striking out eight in that outing ... picked up first win with first career CG April 9 vs. UC Irvine ... allowed nine hits, four runs and no walks while fanning five in that one ... didn't walk more than two batters in a game during the regular season ... no decision in a good start vs. Stanford, allowing five hits and three runs over eight innings ... despite only getting five decisions all season, the UW won six of his last eight starts ... two losses were March 2 vs. Utah and May 26 vs. Arizona ... played summer ball for the Fairbanks (Alaska) Goldpanners, posting a 3-2 record and a 3.06 ERA as the Goldpanners won the National Baseball Congress World Series ... 2001 (Freshman) - Despite being a true freshman, began the season in the Huskies' weekend rotation and retained that role through most of the year ... picked up four wins on the season ... first win came March 3 at UC Riverside, when he worked five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and four Ks ... struck out five in five innings to beat Southern Utah on March 9 ... moved to 3-0 with his best outing of the season, an eight-inning start vs. eventual league champ USC ... allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits over eight frames in that one ... suffered first loss in a shutout at Stanford ... fourth victory of the season came April 8 at Hawaii-Hilo ... no decision despite an outstanding outing vs. Gonzaga on May 15, when he allowed only two hits and two unearned runs while striking out five in seven innings.
