Tom Murphy
Position: Volunteer Assistant Coach
Experience: 6 Years

Tom Murphy spent seven seasons as the volunteer assistant coach at Washington, working alongside the Husky players and coaching staff. Murphy has more than thirty years experience in the sport of volleyball.

Murphy served as a Technical Advisor for the team in 2005 and 2006 before shifting into his volunteer assistant position in 2007 up through the 2013 season, during which UW won the Pac-12 title and reached the Final Four.

A Seattle native and Washington State University grad, Murphy has coached junior club volleyball for 16 years and high school volleyball for 17 years as well. He is currently a coach with the Sudden Impact Volleybal Club located in Bellevue, Wash.

An avid fan of biking and hiking, Murphy ran track and cross country for Bellevue Community College, then earned his Bachelors of Science from WSU and earning a Masters of Business Administration from City University. He is an IMPACT certified coach through USA Volleyball.
