Jordon Twohig is entering his third season as an assistant coach in the University of Washington baseball program. In addition to serving as outfield coach and third base coach during games, Twohig will also instruct the UW's base runners while working with Head Coach Lindsay Meggs to coach Washington's hitters.

Twohig is also heavily involved in recruiting and various other key responsibilities within the program. Prior to the 2013 season, he was promoted from volunteer assistant into a full-time position.

"Jordon Twohig is one of the best young assistant coaches in the Pac-12 Conference", said Head Coach Lindsay Meggs. "He is a tireless worker who loves the University of Washington and is committed to doing whatever it takes to get us to Omaha. Jordon is a winner and he is great for our program."

Twohig came to the University of Washington after leading Ohlone College (Fremont, Calif.) to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship in 2010. The win was the first state championship at Ohlone College in any team sport. Twohig is one of three active Division I coaches to have won a California Community College State Championship, along with Mike Gillespie (UC Irvine) and George Horton (Oregon).

Twohig' s state title team went 37-10 overall and was 20-5 in Coast Conference play. Ohlone College finished the year ranked No. 3 in the nation according to Perfect Game USA's junior college poll. Twohig was honored as the 2010 ABCA Diamond/National Coach of the Year. Ohlone also boasted eight all-conference players, including two All-American selection, the state's pitcher of the year and three players who were selected in the Major League Draft. The Renegades hit .314 overall, finished in the top 10 in every major offensive category including No. 2 in home runs.

In 2009, Twohig guided the Renegades to their first league title in 18 years and a trip to the state super-regionals. Twohig was named the Coast Conference Coach of the Year, while the team finished ranked No. 19 in the nation, notching eight first-team all-league selections. The Renegades hit .328 as a team, and finished top five in the state in home runs, RBI, stolen bases, hits, and doubles.

In his three seasons at Ohlone, Twohig guided the Renegades to a 94-43 record, winning two regional championships, a super-regional championship, a state title, while helping bolster a team GPA to 3.2. A total of 41 players moved onto to four-year schools in that time. He spent one season as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Ohlone before taking over as head coach in 2008.

Prior to his stint at Ohlone, Twohig was an assistant coach at St. Mary's College of California in Moraga, Calif. He began his coaching career in 2003 as an assistant coach at Feather River Community College in Quincy, Calif.

A native of Redwood City, Calif., Twohig graduated from Summerville High School in Sonora, Calif. He earned a bachelor's degree from York College of Nebraska, and a master's degree in sports management from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.

Twohig is married to Nicole, and the couples resides in Kirkland.
