Leah Worthen
Position: Volunteer Assistant, Sprints
Hometown: Coos Bay, Ore.

Leah Worthen is in the midst of her second season as a volunteer, helping assistant coach Raul Sheen with the sprinters and hurdlers. A 2009 graduate of Oregon, Worthen was a four-time Pac-10 competitor and three-time West Regional competitor.

Specializing in the 400-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash, Worthen was a frequent scorer on the conference and regional levels. She also ran on several relays throughout her career at the big meets.

Worthen reached the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships as part of Oregon's 4x400m relay, which took ninth at Nationals after winning the MPSF Championship at UW's Dempsey indoor.

A native of Coos Bay, Oregon, Worthen was a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic First Team selection, majoring in educational studies. She holds personal bests of 55.48 seconds in the 400-meter dash and 1:00.48 in the 400-meter hurdles.
