March 28, 2010
The UW's spring academic quarter begins tomorrow, Monday March 29, and that also means that Husky Football spring practice isn't far behind.
Tomorrow, head coach Steve Sarkisian will hold a press conference at noon to preview the coming weeks. Fans can catch a live broadcast of that press conference on UWTV (channel 27 on most Seattle-area cable systems).
Then on Tuesday, the Dawgs take the field for the first of 15 fall practices, which end with the "Friday Night Lights" Spring Game on Friday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m..
Practices are open to the public, but you must check in before entering. Just go to the northeast corner of Husky Stadium (field level) near Husky Softball Stadium to enter.
Parking for all spring football practices is available in a variety of paid lots around the stadium. Due to Sound Transit's construction of a light rail station at the South side of the stadium, parking adjacent to the stadium is limited. In addition, there is no longer an attendant at the parking entrance.
Visitors to practice are encouraged to park in the E-1 lot next to the soccer and baseball fields. There are also two pay stations available for parking in E-17 and E-12 with a limited number of spots available. When paying for a spot in either of those two lots, please be sure to pay close attention to the designated spaces. If there are no designated spaces available, please park in E-1.
Please note, on all Tuesday and Thursday practices there is NO free parking available. UW parking is available in designated lots on a pay basis until noon on Saturdays.
