SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Washington football team spent its first full day in the Alamo City Saturday, as the Huskies get set to face Baylor on Thu., Dec. 29, in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
While the Bears were making their way to San Antonio today, traveling about 180 miles to the southwest of their home in Waco, the Huskies held their first practice of the trip Saturday. In keeping with the schedule set out prior to the start of bowl preparations, it was a Monday-style practice.
The weather in San Antonio Saturday was unusually cool for this time of year and rain fell through much of the day.
After practice, the Huskies made their way to SeaWorld San Antonio for the rest of the afternoon.
Tomorrow, Christmas Day, the Huskies will hold a Tuesday-style practice and then head out Knibbe Ranch for a team Christmas party. The Huskies, as well as Baylor, will hold press conferences the following three days (Dec. 26-28) before kicking off at 8:00 p.m. CT/6:00 p.m. PT at the Alamodome.
