Game 3 Post-Game Quotes
Wright State Coach Brad Brownell
"I thought we played with great energy, especially in the first 25-30 minutes. We put together a nice lead, then honestly those Portland State kids got hot. Melvin Jones threw in some tough threes, made it a little nerve-racking for us down the stretch, but to our kids' credit, we made free throws and were able to hang on and win."
"[The shooting in the first half] was a great mix to our game. I thought we had a great mix--some drives, some three point shots, and throwing the ball inside and scoring. We thought we could do that all game, and we did, and our shooting throughout the night was really good. We shot 54% for the game, which is really good."
Portland State Coach Tyler Geving
"We competed in the second half, played hard, and that was good to see. We came out flat and you can't do that against a really good ballclub. They're a very good team, very experienced and I can see why they are picked second in their league.
"In the second half our guys played hard and we competed and that was good to see. We didn't roll over and play dead - we continued to fight. I told these guys to continue to be positive. I know you can get down with a couple losses, but Belmont and Wright State are good mid-major type programs. We're playing good basketball teams and its going to pay off dividends for us."
