SEATTLE - Jake Locker is the 25th quarterback to be named to the watch list for the Manning Award, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, which sponsors the award, announced today.

Locker, a senior from Ferndale, Wash., had previously been named to the watch lists for the Davey O'Brien Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

The Manning Award was created in 2004 to honor the football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning and is presented to the nation's top quarterback. It's the only national QB award that takes bowl game performances into account.

Last season, Locker passed for 2,800 yards and 21 touchdowns while leading the Pac-10 Conference in total offense with 3,188 yards.

The Huskies report for the 2010 season on Sunday and hold their first practice on Monday.

For more on Locker's addition to the Manning Award watch list, check out the award's official site.
