SEATTLE - A Hooch Fagaly single down the right field line with two outs in the bottom of the seventh drove in the game-winning run for Washington in game three over Oregon State on Sunday evening.
With the 4-3 win, No. 17/15 Washington (31-10, 9-3) earned its second Pac-12 series sweep on the week and its seventh-straight win.
No. 24/RV Oregon State (24-14, 1-8) gave the Huskies another tough fight, taking a 3-2 lead into the sixth. The two teams fought through another rain delay, this time 1 hour and 38 minutes after battling the rain on Saturday.
Junior Kasey Stanchek (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) in the top of the seventh.
Stanchek pitched three great innings in relief allowing just one hit. Junior Bryana Walker (La Quinta, Calif.) got the start, allowing three runs on six hits in the first three innings.
Tina Andreana went the distance for the Beavers (4-4). She allowed just two earned runs on four hits.
Washington took a 1-0 lead after one as Inglesby scored on an error by OSU's second baseman.
Dani Gilmore tied the game in the third as the first batter with a solo shot to center field. Elizabeth Santana followed with a long solo shot to left center.
The third home run of the game for OSU came off the bat of Natalie Hampton, a solo shot to left center, leading off the fourth.
After the rain delay, Washington cut the deficit to one, 3-2, with a solo home run by Fagaly, her seventh of the year.
The Huskies tied the game on another throwing error by the Beavers in the sixth.
Washington heads to Arizona State next weekend for a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m. live on the Pac-12 Networks.
